**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

Another layout using up my stash of scrapbook paper from Michaels. I kept it simple with a Red & White theme and added a little contrast with a pre-cut zigzag border from an old kit in my stash.

Holiday Mason Jars with CTMH Cricut Cartridges

I love how versatile CTMH Cricut Cartridges are - I do a lot of scrapbooking and cardmaking with my CTMH Cricut cartridges but recently decided to try something new for the Holidays.

I cut my images out of Contact Paper and put them onto some Mason Jars that I had bought.  I then painted each jar with Matte Acrylic Paint.  I did 2 - 3 coats on each jar, allowing lots of drying time in between each coat.

Once they were completely dry I peeled off the contact paper, added some White Beans and an LED candle along with a hand-stamped tag & some Twine.

The ornament on this jar is from CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge and the tag was stamped with images from
CTMH Joyful Garland Hostess Stamp Set.

The J and Y on this set were cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Decorative Font and the centre ornament
is also from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

This Snowflake was also cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and I also cut the tag in the next image
from the same cartridge using CTMH Kraft Cardstock and a stamp from the

The image on my last jar was cut using the newest addition to
CTMH's Cricut line: the fabulous Artistry Cartridge.

I love the Pine Cone & Branches image on this jar.

It was fun doing something a little different using my Cricut Explore and the CTMH Cartridges and I will definitely be looking for more projects like this to do in the future.

CTMH Balloon Wishes Card with Watercolour Background

Feels good to be able to do a little bit of crafting - it's been almost 3 weeks since I hurt my shoulder but I finally was able to spend some time in the craftroom and finish up one of the watercolour cards I started last month.

The balloon and banner are from the CTMH Balloon Wishes Stamp Set.
I coloured them using my ShinHan markers then fussy cut the balloon out.
I used my Cricut to cut out the banner with CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge,
stamped then coloured to match.

The background was painted using the new CTMH Watercolour Paints & Brushes.
I used CTMH Buttercup cardstock as a base and ran
the CTMH Edge Distresser along all the sides before mounting it on a 4.25 x 5.5 card base.

I added some glitter enamel gems that I had in my stash for embellishment.

Strawberry Lollipop Holder made with CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge

Here are some Strawberries I cut with my Cricut Explore and the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge to make Lollipop Holders.

I sponged around the edges of each berry and topper & used double sided tape to adhere the flap so they won't come undone when the lollipop is inside.

Once the lollipop was inside I just tightened the twine so the Strawberry closed around it. I tied a bow then slid the topper on.  The hole in the topper was smaller than the stick so I just made a few small cuts with my CTMH Micro-Tip Scissors so the paper wouldn't tear.

Make It From Your Heart Vol 2. Scrapbook Layout

Here is a layout I made with CTMH Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 Layout Book - Pattern 2.

I had this patterned paper that I had bought from Stampin' Up a few years ago and never did anything with it since I only had 8-1/2x11 cardstock and really wanted to save it for 12x12 layouts.

After I got my Cricut Explore I re-cut the image of the cat in the dresser.  I was impressed with how much better the Explore cut it than my Expression 2 (see previous post to see comparison cuts)

I love how well the CTMH solid cardstock goes with the SU Domestic Goddess patterned cardstock.

Last Craft Fair of 2014

I did my last craft fair for 2014 last weekend at the Murrayville Hall, just down the street from my house.  I had some handmade items available for sale this time. The first fair that I did there was in November and my tendinitis had flared up so I wasn't able to make much beforehand.

Love the ideas I see on Pinterest.  I was able to make up some bottle toppers and gift card holders to sell along with some cards that I had made before the craft fair I attended at the end of November.

Christmas Cards for Local Craft Fair using Artfully Sent

I was busy preparing cards for a craft fair that was held today at the local high school.  My Cricut machine got a workout with the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge.  I was able to make up a bunch of cards without aggravating my tendinitis very much, which is good, as I am now getting the early symptoms in the other hand and have had to leave my day job so I can let it settle a bit before my specialist appointment in January.

I turned the HO HO HO card from the Artfully Sent cartridge into a Santa by adding a 1/2 scallop circle and a mustache from Artiste along with a strip of black cardstock and some gold glitter paper for the belt buckle.  Very easy and a lot of fun.

The Holly Jolly card was nice and quick - just added some glitter paper behind the bells and finished it off with some Ruby cardstock to fill in the rest of the letters.

I added glitter paper and a holly image to dress up this Merry Christmas card and used the Christmas Tree pop up card inside it.  The Holly was cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge.

Here's another Holly Jolly - this time I used Lagoon cardstock and pink glitter paper.  And I used my score board to emboss a quick border around the outer edges.

I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the banners out for this card and the poinsetta is from the Artiste cartridge.  The layout is from Make It From The Heart Volume 1 - Pattern 22.  And the paper is from the Yuletide Carol paper pack.

Close to My Heart Artiste Cartridge - Boxes & Gift Card Holder

Had fun making these boxes & a gift card holder with my Artiste cartridge for a craft fair that I was at last weekend.

This little tree box would be perfect for holding some candy or small gift item.

I used the Snowhaven cardstock for the gift card holder.  The stampset is from the Snowhaven Workshop on the Go Cardmaking Kit.  I cut the patterened strip from the top of the sheet of cardstock and used it to keep the card closed.

Here it is opened with a gift card in the inner pocket. I cut it at 5" Real Dial Size.

Here's a Christmas Cracker - I cut it at the recommended size in the handbook.

Love this snowflake box.  It folds almost flat so would be good for small items or a gift card.

CTMH items used:

CTMH Artiste Cricut Collection  (z1790)  $109.00
Snowhaven Workshop on the Go (stampset)  (g1085)  $27.50
Snowhaven Paper Packet (x7188b)  $10.95

CTMH Cricut Artiste Diaper Card

We had a new baby born into the family last week so I finally got to make this Diaper Card that is on my CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge.  So cute!

All the shapes and sentiments are from the Artiste cartridge.

I cut two of the "It's a Girl" sentiments - one in white and one in Blush and layered them so it would stand out from the label.  I added glitter to the bottom of the sentiment too.  The diaper pins were cut from some scraps of gray cardstock and also covered in glitter.  I cut the pin heads from the Blush scraps and added Liquid Glass to give it a 3-D look.

I used one 12x12 piece of cardstock for the Diaper, the sentiments and the pin heads with lots to spare for another project.

Just fold the two flaps under the cuts on the front to close it.

Love how the scalloped circle card fits inside the Diaper.

Artiste Diaper Card - page 64 of CTMH Artiste Cricut Handbook

Diaper & Scalloped Circle cut at 5" Relative Size
Diapers Pins & Heads cut at .5" Relative Size
It's a Girl Title cut at 1.5" Real Dial Size

Tag - page 61 of CTMH Artiste Cricut Handbook cut at 2.5" Real Dial Size

Congrats sentiment - page 62 of CTMH Artiste Cricut Handbook cut at 1.25" Real Dial Size

CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge Magazine Folder

I'm really loving this Artiste cartridge!  I joined CTMH so I could get my Artbooking cartridge for free with my kit but so far I've been spending my time making things with the Artiste cartridge instead. I still have quite a bit of left over paper from the Skylark WOTG kit so I thought it would be nice to use some of it up.

I decide to make this magazine folder.  The booklet shows which page the instructions are on in the included assembly manual.

I cut it out at 5.5 inches which made it wide enough to hold standard size cards when assembled.

I followed the diagram - so easy!

Used a bone folder to make sure it was all stuck together nice and flat on the ends.

The Cricut cuts score lines - I lined those up on my scoring board and scored the whole thing. I find it easier when my hands are sore to have the lines there instead of trying to line up the little cuts.

Love this Skylark paper.

Perfect little holder for my CTMH Picture My Life cards.
