Bash My Stash: Layout using Recollections Giant Paper Pad

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

Another layout using up product from my paper stash.   My goal this year is to keep up a steady pace so I can get my older albums completed and use up as much paper and embellishments that I already own instead of purchasing more.

It's been easier than I thought and with my husband being on strike the past couple weeks I have been able to complete a bunch of layouts without spending a dime.

I love using my Cricut to create custom titles and embellishments instead of having to buy stickers for each layout.

Today's layout is inspired by a sketch that I found on Pinterest by Basic Grey.   I placed an extra photo on top of another before taking the picture of the layout.  Once I slide the layout into a page protector I will be adding a 4x6 Flip Flap to it with the photo on the bottom left in it.

Mojo Monday 457 with a Twist

Another card using the CTMH Calypso WYW items for Mojo Monday.

I started off following the sketch as is, but once I had everything cut I ended up flipping it sideways and it all came together quickly after that.   The layered triangles were my inspiration for using my CTMH One in a Melon Stamp set, they reminded me of pineapple crowns.

I love this Calypso paper pack, I wish it wasn't retiring at the end of August.  I already have an extra pack in my stash but might order another since I'm having so much fun making cards with it.  I still need to scrap my Florida trip and the pineapple cardstock has Flamingos on the back of it.

Once again I used one of the journaling cards that come in the kit as a background for my card.  The light green watercolour wash is so soft and pretty - and it was a great backdrop for the strip of pineapple washi tape that I used across the bottom edge.

Skipping Rocks Layout with CTMH Jackson Paper Pack

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.

I just completed another layout from a day trip to the lake using  CTMH Jackson Paper Pack with the latest CTMH Cricut Cartridge - Artistry.

I used the layout pattern included in the CTMH Zoe Workshop On The Go Scrapbook Kit.
The Skipping Rocks title is cut from the font on the CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge

I cut the journaling tag from the CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge and wrote on it using my Cricut Explore with the Artistry font (writing style) and a Pilot Precise V5 Pen.  I sponged the edges with CTMH Glacier Ink.

I embossed the CTMH Glacier cardstock with the CTMH Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

The date tag is cut from the CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge and I used the Artistry font (writing style) to write the date on the tag with my Cricut Explore.

Holiday Mason Jars with CTMH Cricut Cartridges

I love how versatile CTMH Cricut Cartridges are - I do a lot of scrapbooking and cardmaking with my CTMH Cricut cartridges but recently decided to try something new for the Holidays.

I cut my images out of Contact Paper and put them onto some Mason Jars that I had bought.  I then painted each jar with Matte Acrylic Paint.  I did 2 - 3 coats on each jar, allowing lots of drying time in between each coat.

Once they were completely dry I peeled off the contact paper, added some White Beans and an LED candle along with a hand-stamped tag & some Twine.

The ornament on this jar is from CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge and the tag was stamped with images from
CTMH Joyful Garland Hostess Stamp Set.

The J and Y on this set were cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Decorative Font and the centre ornament
is also from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

This Snowflake was also cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and I also cut the tag in the next image
from the same cartridge using CTMH Kraft Cardstock and a stamp from the

The image on my last jar was cut using the newest addition to
CTMH's Cricut line: the fabulous Artistry Cartridge.

I love the Pine Cone & Branches image on this jar.

It was fun doing something a little different using my Cricut Explore and the CTMH Cartridges and I will definitely be looking for more projects like this to do in the future.

Simple Scrapbook Page with CTMH Paper Fundamentals and Artistry Cricut Cartridge

I'm currently working on a few different albums and one of them is from when my kids were little.  I came across a few random shots that didn't really have a theme to them so I decided to just do a simple layout with them.  I took a picture of the layout before adding the photos,  my daughter definitely wouldn't want me to share one of the pictures of her.

I grabbed a sheet of the CTMH Paper Fundamentals from the old patterns that were retired in August, added a bit of black for contrast and a few cuts with the latest CTMH Cricut cartridge - Artistry and had it done in no time at all.

I used a layout from CTMH Reflections How-To Book & added a bit of CTMH White Shimmer Trim for embellishment.
I used both sides of the Fundamentals paper, one side is printed and the other side has a slight texture in the same pattern.

The background of hearts is from the Artistry cartridge and I modified one of the cuts on the same cartridge to create my journaling box.  The original image had an Easter egg - using the Slice feature in Design Space I removed it and welded a Balloon image instead.
I cut out the top layer of the Balloon in the Fundamentals and popped it up with some Foam Tape and added some Shimmer Trim behind the Heart cut out.  I love Shimmer Trim, especially the White. I use it in almost all my projects.

My title is cut out from the Artistry cartridge and backed in co-ordinating Pixie cardstock and the journaling was printed in the same font using the writing feature & pen holder on my Cricut Explore.

I finally got back into the craftroom yesterday, the first time since I fell and hurt my shoulder.  I managed to finish one of my Watercolour cards using the CTMH Hello, Life Cardmaking Stamp Set.

Today is the last day to order these exclusive sets which were released for National Stamping Month.

There are three different sets, available to purchase in a bundle for $41.50 or separately for $16.50 each.

While each set was designed with a different papercrafter in mind,  they co-ordinate so you can mix and match images and all three sets have matching cuts from the new CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge.

Coffee Cup Gift Card Holder with CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge

Here's a quick gift card holder I made with my Cricut Explore and the CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge for National Coffee Day.

I used to measure and cut these out by hand but using Cricut Design Space and the new Artistry Cartridge make it so easy to do a bunch in no time at all.

CTMH September Stamp of the Month with CTMH Watercolour Paints

Trying out my new CTMH Watercolour Paints with the September Stamp of the Month - Paper Garden.

I stamped the backgrounds with CTMH Whisper Ink then went over them with the Watercolours, blending and adding in different shades until I got the look I wanted.

I also tried out a couple of backgrounds.  I wet the watercolour paper first then added my colours and let them bleed together, then went over them with a clean wet brush and blended the colours out to the edge.   It was a lot of fun,  I've never really used watercolours, so I was happy to just experiment and see how they worked.

I haven't been able to get back to the craftroom to finish my cards due to a shoulder injury.
I'll be adding sentiments from the Hello, Life stamp sets and some embellishments and will post my finished cards in a future blog post.

The CTMH Stamp of the Month - Paper Garden is available until September 30, 2015
for $21.25 or just $6 with your qualifying purchase of $50

Also available this month only, for National Stamping Month - Hello, Life
Available for $16.50 each or get the bundle for $41.50

Each set is designed for different types of papercrafting, and coordinate with each other for endless possibilities.
They also co-ordinate with cuts on the new CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge.

Layout for National Dog Day with CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge

Yesterday was National Dog Day - I figured that was a good enough reason to spend some time in my craftroom playing with my new CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge.

I had a lot of fun putting this layout together and using the
different dog cuts for embellishments and titles on my page.

I added a shadow layer to the Paw Print overlay by
duplicating the original image then using hide contour in my Design Space App.

I added the September 2014 to the Paw Print Tag by
using the Design Space Slice feature with the Artistry font.

I sponged the edges of all my cardstock with CTMH Desert Sand Exclusive Ink.

I added a piece of CTMH Red Shimmer Trim behind the heart cut out on both of my dog cuts.

I popped up this Heart Paw Print cut with some foam tape.

I used a Pilot Precise V5 Pen in my Cricut Explore to write
on this tag using the Artistry font with the Writing Style option.

I cut out another Heart Paw Print in a smaller size and added it
the tag which I also popped up with foam tape.

Handmade Journaling Cards with CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge

I was working on my pocket pages today and have a few pages of the kids playing in the Snow during Christmas Break.

I used the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge to make the 3x4 pocket card then using the attach feature in Cricut Design Space,  I added the font from the Artistry Cartridge to cut the names out of the card.  I backed it with the same patterned paper that I used on the 4x6 card.  The Ambersand was stamped using the new CTMH Zoe WOTG stamp set.  I added a few Bitty Sparkles for embellishment.

I cut a 4x6 piece of patterned paper and rounded the edges with my CTMH Corner Rounder.  I used my Cricut Explore to write my journaling with a Pilot Precise V5 Blue Pen, then inked the edges of the White Daisy Cardstock.

I cut the Snow Day title from my new CTMH Artistry Cartridge in White Daisy and a blue cardstock from my stash.  I added a few small snowflakes for embellishment but they don't show up in the photo.

CTMH Zoe Workshop On The Go Scrapbooking Layout

Just can't get enough of this new Zoe Collection from Close To My Heart!

I bought the new CTMH Zoe Workshop On The Go Scrapbook Kit and have manage so far to create 3 double page layouts & and a card with it and I have enough cardstock left to do at least another layout or a bunch of cards.

What got my attention when this was first released was the variety of colours - you can use it for masculine layouts with the grey pattern cardstock or even for children's layouts with the bright colours in the other cardstock patterns.

For the most part I followed the guide that is included in the kit.

Because I've been trying to stretch it out I did use a piece off of one of the Grey patterned cardstock for another layout.  I just substituted a strip of Slate Cardstock in its place.
And I used a smaller piece of cardstock where the Sunshine Title is.

Such a great stamp set included in the Workshop On The Go Kit.
And it goes with the new CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge.   The cut sizes are included on the stamp set carrier sheet.

I was able to quickly size, cut & stamp my pieces then add a few embellishments from the Zoe Assortment that was included in the kit.

Brand new colour of Shimmer Trim comes in the Kit, too - Coral.

This paper collection is definitely a new favourite.  I will be using this a lot in my scrapbooks this year.

Scrapbook Layout with CTMH Zoe & new CTMH Artistry Cartridge

I have been waiting for the new CTMH Artistry Cricut cartridge for so long - I had to put off my order when it was released to Consultants in mid-July because a merchant I shopped at had their systems compromised.

But it's here and even better than I expected!   I also ordered the new Zoe Scrapbooking Workshop on the Go and the co-ordinating  Zoe Complements.  The Workshop on the Go includes the Zoe Assortment, new Coral Shimmer Trim and an exclusive full-size stamp set.

For my layout I followed a pattern from a Zoe Workshop that
was created by Consultant Tina Lovell.

I changed a few things to co-ordinate with the photos that I already had printed
but for the most part have stuck pretty close to her original layout.

I used my Cricut to cut out the Pennants and I used the Slice feature and the Font from the new Artistry Cartridge to create my title.
I sponged the Sorbet cardstock layer of the pennant with Sorbet Ink, then I backed the White Daisy layer with Glacier cardstock after doodling around the edge and added a few Bitty Sparkles for embellishment.

Here's another cut from the new Artistry cartridge, a cute little journaling tag.  I used the
font from the Artistry cartridge and a Pilot Precise V5 pen in my Cricut Explore so I could make my journaling match the cuts from my title.

The Cricut Explore does an amazing job - each word is approximately 1/4 inch tall.  The font doesn't include all the punctuation but I didn't mind since I was doing a layout about my kids.

I used the CTMH Hopscotch Alphabet Stamp Set to stamp the bottom title in Black Exclusive Ink.  I love how well it goes with my Artistry cartridge font.  I will definitely be using these two together on future projects.

I also cut the top banner and the camera from the Artistry cartridge - I added some of the Complements stickers to the banner and a strip of the new Coral Shimmer Trim behind it.

The circle on the right came out of the Camera cut, I just added the little Complements sticker on top of it and popped it up with some Foam Tape.

Love this little Poloroid camera from the Artistry Cartridge!  I backed the Sorbet cardstock with White Daisy and added a Bitty Sparkle to the Heart cut.
