Card for Mojo Monday 480

My latest card for Mojo Monday had a little extra help from a 6x6 OSW pattern.   I had cut the pattern pieces from my Swan Lake cardstock sampler before Christmas but hadn't made any of the cards.

I ended up combining the cuts that were meant for a couple of different cards from the template to come up with my MOJO 480 card.

I used CTMH Canary & Poppy Ink with the rock n roll stamping technique to create my Chrysanthemum.  I added some shimmer to the petals with my CTMH Gold Shimmer Pen.

Scrap My Stash with Mojo Monday 458

Playing with this weeks sketch over at Mojo Monday.

This time, I decided to see what I have in my paper stash and came across a full pack of SU Blueberry Crisp that I bought about 5 or so years ago.  I don't have a lot of SU cardstock but I managed to find a few sheets and some embellishments from my stash that coordinated perfectly with this patterned paper.

I also decided to try out a couple of stamp sets and dies that I purchased last winter.    The stamped images are from the Watercolour Wings Stamp Set.  I used CTMH Pacifica ink for the sentiment and stamped the background butterfly in Crumb Cake then added the die cut butterfly over it.  I used the flourish stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set to add some detail on the Not Quite Navy cardstock with CTMH Pacifica Ink.

Mojo Monday 457 with a Twist

Another card using the CTMH Calypso WYW items for Mojo Monday.

I started off following the sketch as is, but once I had everything cut I ended up flipping it sideways and it all came together quickly after that.   The layered triangles were my inspiration for using my CTMH One in a Melon Stamp set, they reminded me of pineapple crowns.

I love this Calypso paper pack, I wish it wasn't retiring at the end of August.  I already have an extra pack in my stash but might order another since I'm having so much fun making cards with it.  I still need to scrap my Florida trip and the pineapple cardstock has Flamingos on the back of it.

Once again I used one of the journaling cards that come in the kit as a background for my card.  The light green watercolour wash is so soft and pretty - and it was a great backdrop for the strip of pineapple washi tape that I used across the bottom edge.

Mojo Monday 377

I was finishing up some layouts from CTMH Brushed Workshop on the Go this weekend and was wondering what to do with all the leftover cardstock.

I came across the Mojo Monday blog and liked the sketch for this week so I thought I would give it a shot and use up some of that Brushed cardstock and I was also looking for something that would go with the December Stamp of the Month - Cutie Pie.

Love how this turned out - although the picture makes the Canary cardstock look quite harsh. It is actually a softer pretty shade of yellow.  I need to remember to take my camera out to my craftroom so I'm not always using my cell phone for pictures.

I used my Cricut with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the circle at 2"  & scalloped circle at 2.5".  I coloured the cupcake with chalks, added some glitter and added a ribbon under the scalloped circle to finish it off.
