Day Trip to Deer Lake Scrapbook Layout using CTMH Jackson

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.

Here is the third layout from a day trip to a local lake made with the CTMH Jackson paper pack (retired).  I didn't want to crop any of the photos of the lakeside scenery so I followed this sketch that I found at NutsAboutSketches.com

I followed the sketch pretty closely, only cropped a little bit off of the photo at the bottom right so I could add in the Zip Strip with the Glacier Twine below it.  After gluing down the Twine I added two CTMH Mini-Staples to each end.

My Great Outdoors title was cut from CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge and the Mountain Scene cut beside it is from the Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge.  The Woodgrain overlay is also from the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  I also sponged the title with CTMH Glacier Exclusive Ink.

I cut the Pine Cone image from the CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge out of CTMH Desert Sand cardstock and sponged with CTMH Desert Sand Exclusive Ink.  I used the Cricut Explore writing feature to journal on the Pine Cone image using the font from the CTMH Artistry Cricut Cartridge.

CTMH Artbooking Soccer Team Layout

I love how easy it is to create layouts with the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.
You can choose from pre-made layouts or create your own with over 700 images to pick from including a font.

For my son's first year of soccer I decided to use the pre-made Teamwork Layout from page 83 of the Artbooking handbook.

Using Cricut Design Space I was able to add the entire layout with just one click.  All the layout images are group together just like the image to the left in the handbook.  I just entered the suggested height of 11" and the whole layout was sized to fit on a 12x12 double page spread.

I sponged the edges of my CTMH White Daisy & CTMH Crystal Blue cardstock
with CTMH Pacifica pigment ink.
Then I measured in 1/2" and marked it with post-it notes so my 11x11 overlay would be evenly spaced out.

I played around with the different pieces that were part of the ready-made layout and added in a Soccer title that is one of the extras in the Sports section of the Artbooking cartridge.  I chose to use mainly primary colours in this layout to go with the Leagues yellow & blue uniform colours.

Without doing too much cropping I was able to use the 3-1/2x5 photo on the pre-sized tag and cropped down a picture from one of his games that wasn't a great picture to begin with but I really wanted to include since we didn't take a lot of pictures at the games.

I popped up the photo mats and title pieces using CTMH foam tape for dimension.  It's hard to see in the pictures but it helps define it by having it up above the overlay pieces.

Speedster Layout

Going through some old pictures yesterday and I found this one of my son that I had taken a few days after he had wiped out on his bike.  He had just turned 6 and was going to be starting grade one not long after I took this picture.  Fortunately, he was wearing a helmet and he didn't lose any teeth, there was just a lot of blood.

Baby Girl Scrapbook Page with CTMH Flip Flaps, Artbooking Cricut Cartridge

I recently finished a 12x12 layout of my daughter from when she was a baby.  Using Close To My Heart Flip Flaps I got the equivalent of 3 12x12 pages to fit one 12x12 page protector.  I will be working this page into my Picture My Life album that I have started of her First Year.

I started by choosing these layouts out of the CTMH Cricut Artbooking Cartridge Handbook.  They are shown as Holiday/Wintertime Layouts but are so versatile I was able to use cardstock that I had on hand already and change it to suit my daughter's pictures.  Sorry the photos are a little off colour - I really need to use my camera instead of my phone when in the craftroom.

Front of layout using two 6x12 Flip Flaps.  I cut the Wintertime layout in half. Love the pennant frames.  Cardstock and embellishments are from my stash.

Center layout is from the Artbooking Holiday layout.  I loved the bows and the CTMH Thistle cardstock picks up the purple color of my daughters ribbon.  Top and bottom are reverse side of 6x12 Flip Flaps with co-ordinating photo frame.

I added a 4x6 Flip Flap to bottom right of centre layout.

Here it's opened to see the extra photos I had.  Flip Flaps are a great way to add more pictures to your layout. They are also good for adding journaling or memorabilia.

I attached an extra bow with Liquid Glass to the front of my Flip Flap so it would blend in with the rest of the layout when closed.

The title and the baby clothes are from CTMH new Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.

CTMH Pathfinding Workshop on the Go

I've been doing a little bit at a time of my scrapbooking.  My tendinitis flared up again after a change in my physio exercises so I've cut back on my activities to give it a rest.

I recently was working on the Pathfinding layout. It has a layout with Cricut cuts and also an alternate if you don't have the Artbooking cartridge.

The Workshop on the Go Kit contains all the paper, embellishments and a full size stamp set plus an instruction booklet.   Items are also available for individual purchase - see links below each photo for individual items.

Lots of paper left over after I cut what I needed.

Cute embellishments. CTMH Pathfinding Assortment

Little bit of bling.  CTMH Gold Bling Gems

All put together just need photos.  I attached the frame on the left page with CTMH Bonding Memories Glue - I let it dry first so it created a temporary bond. That way I can go back and add my photo under the frame and re-glue with a permanent bond.

Check out my CTMH website for more details.  http://nancyhelmer.ctmh.com

CTMH Masculine Birthday Card

I made a birthday card for my husband yesterday - he's a car guy -  and I had just bought a retiring stamp set last month from Close To My Heart that had muscle car stamps so I whipped this up real fast while he was at work.  I had to keep it simple - my wrist is still sore so I wanted something that was fairly easy for me.

CTMH Layouts with Free To Be Me & Cricut cartridges

Finally finished up my layouts with the Free To Be Me paper pack that CTMH offered for $5 last month with a $50 purchase.   I had lots of fun with this - the bright colours immediately made me think kids pages.   So I grabbed all the pictures I had from when the kids were in kindergarten and grade two along with the Reflections Scrapbook program book and this is what came up with.

This is the second page for my daughter's layout - the first page is in the previous post.  The layout shown below was one of the suggested layouts in the Reflections book. I love how there is a list of suggested layouts and I was able to flip through the book and look at all the suggestions and then choose one that had the right amount of pictures for that 2nd page.

The stamped image was from the May Stamp of the Month set. I embossed it in gold to match the gold dots on the vellum then played around with the placement.  In the end I went with the second page.

Cut some titles out with my Artbooking cartridge. I used Cricut Craftroom to weld the individual letters together then cut out two of each colour and just used same for both layouts.  Then I played around with placement until I was satisfied.

And here are the finished pages.  I used the Artbooking cartridge for the Teamwork, the My First and the large tag on the 2nd page.  The book called for a 5x7 photo but I decided to use the tag with my 4x6 instead.  And the 2000 on my son's page came from the Artiste cartridge.  And I also used it for the grade 2 on my daughter's page.
