Layered Snowflake Card from Anna's Lovely Layered Cards Cricut Cartridge

I've had my eye on a couple of Anna Griffin Cricut Cartridges for a while now.  

I keep seeing gorgeous, intricate cards and scrapbook layouts using her images in Cricut Design Space. 

 I decided to take advantage of the Cricut Black Friday Sale (ends 11/29) of $14.99 cartridges and an additional 35% discount for digital images with the coupon code 35DIGITAL.  

I ended up paying $8.77 for each cartridge (regular price $29.99).

Here is the first card that I made using Anna's Lovely Layered Cards.

This project was in the Make It Now Section of Cricut Design Space.  

I used a Black Pilot Precise V5 Pen for the sentiment.  

I used CTMH Cardstock and tried out a couple of the new Enchantment colours that were introduced in September.

Cricut Make It Now Project: Christmas Pen Art

I use my Cricut Explore mainly for scrapbooking but have been trying some new things with it for the Holidays.

I love the Make It Now projects in Cricut Design Space and decided to make the Christmas Pen Art Project.

                                   

I love the writing feature in Design Space.  I use it to add journaling to my scrapbook pages.  This project uses pens for Christmas Subway Art.  

I used Pilot Precise V5 Pens in my pen holder and love the very fine line that they draw. 

This project was very quick to do - the longest part was gluing the 5 layers of letters together.  

And that didn't even take that long.  I added some glitter that I had in my stash to the word "Joy",  then I glued the letters on top of the written words on my background sheet.  

I've had this frame sitting in a closet for a while now. 

I took out the glass and the mat so my popped-up project would fit inside it. 

After gluing together the pieces of the Poinsettia, I added a piece of CTMH Foam Tape to the back so it would pop up from my page. 

I added a CTMH Gold Bling Gem to the centre of the Poinsettia.

Here is my finished project - I cut a piece of Recollections Holiday Cardstock down to 8x10 to fit my frame and the  Recollections Red & Green cardstock used in this project came in a coordinating pack.

Holiday Mason Jars with CTMH Cricut Cartridges

I love how versatile CTMH Cricut Cartridges are - I do a lot of scrapbooking and cardmaking with my CTMH Cricut cartridges but recently decided to try something new for the Holidays.

I cut my images out of Contact Paper and put them onto some Mason Jars that I had bought.  I then painted each jar with Matte Acrylic Paint.  I did 2 - 3 coats on each jar, allowing lots of drying time in between each coat.

Once they were completely dry I peeled off the contact paper, added some White Beans and an LED candle along with a hand-stamped tag & some Twine.

The ornament on this jar is from CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge and the tag was stamped with images from 

CTMH Joyful Garland Hostess Stamp Set.

The J and Y on this set were cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Decorative Font and the centre ornament

 is also from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

This Snowflake was also cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and I also cut the tag in the next image 

from the same cartridge using CTMH Kraft Cardstock and a stamp from the 

White Pines Cardmaking Workshop on the Go

The image on my last jar was cut using the newest addition to 

CTMH's Cricut line: the fabulous Artistry Cartridge.  

I love the Pine Cone & Branches image on this jar.

It was fun doing something a little different using my Cricut Explore and the CTMH Cartridges and I will definitely be looking for more projects like this to do in the future.

Disney Layout For This Week In My Happy Planner

Cricut Make It Now Disney Fund Jar Project

I was scrolling through the Make It Now projects in Cricut Design Space and found this cute Disneyland Fund Jar Project.  

Since Close To My Heart is holding Convention at Walt Disney World next summer I decided to make this.  It will be fun to toss my loose change in and see how much I can save up by next June.

There are so many great Make It Now projects in Design Space.  

Since I own the Mickey and Friends cartridge I didn't need to purchase any images.

I resized the pieces by selecting customize then putting in the right size for my jar.

I used an old Mason Jar and attached my pieces with adhesive.  I skipped the step that has each piece attached together on the ends with string or floss.  I added a ribbon from my stash and threw in a Loonie (Canadian Dollar) to get my Disney Fund started.  

Butterfly Theme Happy Planner Layout with CTMH Paper Bird Stamp Set

This week in my Happy Planner I went with a Butterfly theme using Recollections Teal Butterfly scrapbook paper with my retired CTMH Paper Bird Hostess Stamp Set.

The Butterfly image from the Paper Bird stamp set co-ordinates nicely with the Butterfly images & the newsprint background on the Recollections paper.  

The Butterfly image in the Paper Bird set doesn't include a background stamp.  I turned the stamp upside down and inked the solid back of the stamp to create the lighter background image.  

Then I inked up the front of the stamp in the darker colour and stamped over the light image.  

That's one of the perks of using My Acrylix stamps instead of rubber stamps - as long as the stamp has a uniform image you can get twice as many images out of your stamps without buying a special set.
