CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge Magazine Folder

I'm really loving this Artiste cartridge!  I joined CTMH so I could get my Artbooking cartridge for free with my kit but so far I've been spending my time making things with the Artiste cartridge instead. I still have quite a bit of left over paper from the Skylark WOTG kit so I thought it would be nice to use some of it up.

I decide to make this magazine folder.  The booklet shows which page the instructions are on in the included assembly manual.

I cut it out at 5.5 inches which made it wide enough to hold standard size cards when assembled.

I followed the diagram - so easy!

Used a bone folder to make sure it was all stuck together nice and flat on the ends.

The Cricut cuts score lines - I lined those up on my scoring board and scored the whole thing. I find it easier when my hands are sore to have the lines there instead of trying to line up the little cuts.

Love this Skylark paper.

Perfect little holder for my CTMH Picture My Life cards.

Card using Skylark Workshop on the Go

Playing with some of the leftovers from the Skylark Workshop on the Go package that came with my Consultant Kit.  I found this card idea on Pinterest and thought I would give it a shot.  I really wanted to do these paper bows - I have a hard time tying ribbon. The index finger on my right hand is getting arthritis and my hands are sore and swollen most days now.  That's where the Cricut comes in. I don't have to give up paper crafting - I just had to find a way around my limitations.

I love these bows!! I cut them out at 3/4" and 1" with the CTMH Cricut Artiste cartridge.  They cut as a strip and you just fold & line up all the pre-cut holes with the centre hole and add a fastener.

I cut the two larger bows in half to get the wide layers.
I used Kraft paper and embossed it with the Quatrefoil embossing folder.  The strip of paper at the bottom is from the Skylark WOTG kit.

Then I played around with the Skylark Complements chipboard pieces that came with my Consultant Kit.  Very easy card - no stamping on this one.

CTMH Layouts with Free To Be Me & Cricut cartridges

Finally finished up my layouts with the Free To Be Me paper pack that CTMH offered for $5 last month with a $50 purchase.   I had lots of fun with this - the bright colours immediately made me think kids pages.   So I grabbed all the pictures I had from when the kids were in kindergarten and grade two along with the Reflections Scrapbook program book and this is what came up with.

This is the second page for my daughter's layout - the first page is in the previous post.  The layout shown below was one of the suggested layouts in the Reflections book. I love how there is a list of suggested layouts and I was able to flip through the book and look at all the suggestions and then choose one that had the right amount of pictures for that 2nd page.

The stamped image was from the May Stamp of the Month set. I embossed it in gold to match the gold dots on the vellum then played around with the placement.  In the end I went with the second page.

Cut some titles out with my Artbooking cartridge. I used Cricut Craftroom to weld the individual letters together then cut out two of each colour and just used same for both layouts.  Then I played around with placement until I was satisfied.

And here are the finished pages.  I used the Artbooking cartridge for the Teamwork, the My First and the large tag on the 2nd page.  The book called for a 5x7 photo but I decided to use the tag with my 4x6 instead.  And the 2000 on my son's page came from the Artiste cartridge.  And I also used it for the grade 2 on my daughter's page.
