This Week In My Happy Planner: January 4-10

We had some snow at the beginning of this week, just a light dusting, but my dogs had fun in it and I figured it was a good theme for starting off the New Year in my Happy Planner.

This is the first week that I have switched over to the new CTMH Everyday Life planner for my CTMH Business.  I was finding that there was stuff that I wanted to keep track of in my Happy Planner but didn't have enough space.  I have divided the last box into three so I can keep track of my dog training and record what we've done and for how long.

I used some Recollections paper scraps that I had leftover from making pocket scrapbooking cards (post here), with some CTMH White Shimmer Trim and some EK Success Snowflake stickers that I got at Michael's.

I used SU Brocade Blue Ink (retired) for my stamping.

These stickers are really pretty - they are vellum and have some shimmer to them.

CTMH Everyday Life Planner Bundle

Close To My Heart just released their new Planner for 2016 at the beginning of this month and I just got my order delivered earlier this week.

The Everyday Life line will be sold as individual items but for December CTMH has put together a bundle for $35.95 (over 15% off the regular price).

Included in the bundle is the Everyday Life Album,  the Everyday Life 2016 Planner Pages and the Everyday Life Perfect Plan Roller Stamp.

You get a hardcover black album with a pretty gold foil design. The cover is made of
polyurethane-covered dense paperboard; inside lined with white photo-safe paper.

You can also use this as a scrapbook album - the Everyday Life line also has 6x8 pocket pages and a set of My Crush scrapbook pages sold separately.

The pocket pages are 6x8 in size and have either 4x6 or 3x4 pockets & are a perfect fit for CTMH Picture My Life cards.  These smaller sized pocket pages are the same great quality as our larger page protectors (no flimsy pages here).

The Everyday Life Planner is a 12 month planner - it includes all the dividers, monthly & weekly pages for 2016.   There is also a page marker made out of clear plastic.  It came wrapped in a clear film to prevent any scratches during shipping.

Monthly Spread

Weekly spread - it is a horizontal layout with very pretty graphics.

The Planner Pages set also comes with a double-sided folder, handy for keeping bills in and the sticker pack (also included) fits perfectly in there as well.

There are some pre-printed stickers in coordinating colors plus stickers that are ready for you to stamp or write on.

I love this!  This awesome Everyday Life Perfect Planner Roller Stamp is just the right size for stamping on the included stickers or right on your planner pages.

I'll be sharing more pictures as I get my planner set up for 2016.  The planner will still be available after the December special is over but if you are looking to start the New Year with a new Planner/Memory Book I definitely recommend that you order the bundle.  It has everything you need to get started right away and you can customize it as you go.

Happy Planner Layout with Stampin' Up Haute Couture

Started my layout for the last week of October.  I've had this Stampin' Up Haute Couture stamp set sitting on my shelf since 2005 but have never used it even though I absolutely love it.   I found some great Paris/Vintage washi tape at Dollar Tree and knew that it would go perfectly with this stamp set.

I grabbed some Recollections scrapbook paper out of my stash, I thought the Damask and
Pink Distressed would go well with my Washi and the Haute Couture stamp set.
I grabbed my roll of CTMH Black Shimmer Trim to add some shine.

When stamping the images from Haute Couture I first stamped the image on a scrap paper and then stamped again onto my planner page.
I didn't want the ink bleeding through to the page behind it and I really wanted the images to be in the background.
I will still be adding my dailies and to-do lists on that page and may stamp over top or around those images.

Happy Planner Layout and Sweet Stamp Shop Haul

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.

Week 3 Happy Planner Layout -  I kept it really simple just added a little bit of patterned paper from Pink Paislee: Hello, Sunshine 12x12 Paper Pad with a couple of pieces of CTMH Lagoon cardstock and some CTMH White Shimmer Trim.

I love the colours in this paper pad and since the forecast was calling for a bit of rain and mostly cloudy days I wanted to do a bit of a Weather theme but with nice bright colours.

I used StudioL2E List It stamp set and just stamped the first part of the week.
I was waiting for my Sweet Stamp Shop order to arrive and wanted to leave lots of room to use my new stamps this week.

My order arrived on Monday and I added some of the cute cleaning icons from Plan To Clean, a couple from the Plan Pet and used the weather icons from Plan To Go.  These stamps are adorable and I just couldn't resist that Dog & Cat stamp set.

Planner Haul and First Happy Planner Layouts

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.

I ordered my Happy Planner during last months Blitsy sale.  While I was waiting for it to ship I did manage to find some goodies at my local Dollar Tree, Michaels & Staples.

Our Michaels didn't start carrying the Happy Planner until a couple weeks after I placed my order but I'm happy to say they now have a great selection off add-ons and I can use coupons for them.

I love the arc punch from Staples.  I bought some 6x8 pocket pages and I can add them to the Happy Planner by covering the holes with Washi Tape and then use the Arc punch.

I tested it out with one of the Heidi Swapp Project Life cards and it worked great.
I added it into my weekly spread as a book mark.

There are tons of great printables out there, many of them free.
I found the Mason Jar printable in one of the Facebook Groups that I joined.

I also ordered these great planner stamps from StudioL2E.

Here's my first layout in my Happy Planner.  I'm using it mostly as a planner and will add in some pictures and journaling as I go.  I've seen a lot of cute planner layouts that are more memory keeping/journaling but I needed a place where I could keep track of appointments and thought this would work well - no more loose pieces of paper or random notes in my phone.

I used some retired Stampin' Up cardstock and a co-ordinating stamp for my meal planning area.  I used the StudioL2E stamps for my dailies and then added in some CTMH Coral Shimmer Trim

My second week and it was Canadian Thanksgiving this week, so I used up some scraps of
CTMH Pathfinding (retired) cardstock.

I used some free Thanksgiving Cricut cuts that were featured in
Design Space this week and added some CTMH Bronze Shimmer Trim
for sparkle, and a couple of shiny stickers from my stash.

Me & My Big Ideas Good Things Are Going To Happen Planner

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.

My Happy Planner arrived from Blitsy last week,  I ordered it and a couple extra items while they were on sale.

Blitsy has sales fairly frequently or you can use the 40% off coupon codes for Michaels, Joann, Hobby Lobby or A.C. Moore - the codes are listed right on the Blitsy site, too.

And new members can get $10 off their first order.  How awesome is that!

I ordered the Good Things Are Going To Happen Planner.

I really liked the way the weekly pages were laid out in this one.  You can see a video for all the different planners and some of the accessories so you know exactly what you are getting before you place your Blitsy order.

The Good Things planner is full of great quotes and watercolour artwork.

I like this page that is at the beginning of every month.  Not all the planners have this particular layout - this one is great for memory keeping.

Monthly Calendar

Weekly spread - I like that the boxes are a bit larger with this planner, and the morning, afternoon, evening is just in the one spot.  Easy to cover up if you don't set up your planner that way.
The bottom has different quotes and artwork.  So far I left it with the first layout I did since it went well with my paper and inks.  On my 2nd layout I covered it up with a Zip Strip and some Shimmer Trim that co-ordinated with my CTMH Pathfinding (retired) paper pack.

All the tabs are laminated in this planner as are the front and back cover.  They do make larger discs for the planner if you want to add more to it.   I did grab an extra set as I will be adding in a monthly 6x8 pocket page layout each month.  I also took out the July-September months out to give me a bit more room since I didn't start this until the beginning of October.

They are on sale now for 4 days (while quantities last) for $19.99 or use the 40% off coupon at Blitsy.
They did sell out fast last month when they were on sale.
It's a great option if you aren't close to a Michael's.

Just ordered my MAMBI Happy Planner from Blitsy

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links.

I've been wanting a Happy Planner from Me & My Big Ideas but haven't been able to find them in Canada.

I found them on sale at Blitsy today so I ordered the Good Things Are Going to Happen Planner along with some accessories to go with it.   Ordering everything on sale helps take some of the sting out of the Canadian dollar being so low right now.    I can't wait to start using and decorating it!
